GPRS SETTING FOR YOUR MOBILE (ALL OPERATOR)

To access Airtel Live all you need is GPRS enabled mobile phone, activation of Airtel Live Services, and correct settings on your phone.
SMS FUN to 54321 for Service Activation. Once activated, you need to save the service settings that are sent on your phone. Service Activation is absolutely free.
Accessing Airtel Live : On Nokia Phones you can access Airtel Live by long pressing '0' key. On other Phones you can launch Internet Browser and select
Airtel Live (or Go to http://live.airtelworld.com)

1. Send an SMS in the following format "GPRS BP < 1st three letters of handset name> < Model No.>" to 57788
o                                              You will receive a message confirmation - "Thank you for your request for activating Aircel Online Basic Plan. Plan charges: 10p/10KB, No monthly rental. To confirm send YESBP to 57788"
2. SMS YESBP to 57788.
3.You will receive the OTA settings and the following two messages
o                                              Message 1: "Thank you for your request. Aircel Online (GPRS) will be activated within 48 hrs"
o                                              Message 2: "Dear Subscriber, Kindly save the GPRS settings to be sent to you shortly"
4. After Successful activation, you will receive the following message "Dear Subscriber, Aircel Online (GPRS) has been successfully activated. Enjoy browsing internet from your mobile phone"

Get GPRS settings onto your phone & browse the net from wherever you are. Sms SET to 54671 (toll free)

The Trump (Prepaid) customers can avail this facility by sending SMS to 444 in the format "ACT GPRS" for activation.
The SMS sent to '444' is charged @ Rs.2/- per SMS
The Dolphin (Postpaid) customers can avail this facility by sending SMS to 555 (toll free) in the format "GPRS" for activation or call 1503.

Steps for subscribing to GPRS packs:
Postpaid Subscribers:
1. Dial *789#
2. Answer with 1 to select Activation option.
3. Answer with 1 to select Postpaid options
4. Answer with 2 or 3 to select any of the above pack (2 for Rs 249 monthly pack, 3 for Rs 599 Quarterly pack)
5. Answer with 1 for Nokia and 2 for Non Nokia Handset.
Prepaid Subscribers:
1. Dial *789#
2. Answer with 1 to select Activation option.
3. Answer with 2 to select Prepaid options
4. Answer with 3 or 4 to select any of the above pack (3 for Rs 19 daily pack, 4 for Rs 249 monthly pack)
5. Answer with 1 for Nokia and 2 for Non Nokia Handset.

To access Vodafone live on your GPRS enabled mobile phone, activate Vodafone live! and get the settings on your mobile phone.
To activate:
o                                              Postpaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 111 (toll free)
o                                              Prepaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 144 (toll free)
There is no charge for activating Vodafone live!
Note:
Kolkatta Prepaid customers need to send SMS ZERO to 144 (toll free)
Kolkatta Postpaid customers need to send SMS ZERO to 111 (toll free)
Mumbai Postpaid customers can send SMS ACT VL to 111(toll free). Charges - Rs 49 / month. You can enjoy free usage of 5MB and also send 30 MMS free per month.
Mumbai Postpaid customers can also send SMS ACT VLZERO to 111(toll free). No monthly rental charges.
To configure settings:
New customers will automatically get the settings named Vodafone live! and Vodafone MMS when you put in your Vodafone SIM card into your mobile phone. Just save these settings.

AUTO DELETE TEMPORARY FOLDER. First go into gpedit.msc Next select -> Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Terminal Services/Temporary Folder Then right click "Do Not Delete Temp Folder Upon Exit" Go to properties and hit disable. Now next time Windows puts a temp file in that folder it will automatically delete it when its done! Note from Forum Admin: Remember, GPEDIT (Group Policy Editor) is only available in XP Pro.

Hide your drives How to Hide the drives(c:,d:,e:,a:...etc) This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer. 1.Go to start->run.Type regedit.Now go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer Now in the right pane create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives(it is case sensitive). Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) .Now restart your computer. So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown(all gone...). To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created.Again restart your computer.You can now see all the drives again.  Magic........lol....
